Research approach

How Xin Yang approaches project questions, evidence and commissioned research at Carbon2X.

A decision comes first

My professional focus is hydrogen and carbon capture, with an interest in how Chinese technologies can meet international project needs, particularly in the Middle East. Each new assignment starts with the decision it needs to support, the scope of the question and the evidence available.

Evidence should be traceable

For new briefs, I distinguish published statements, client-provided material, direct confirmation and my own interpretation. Project announcements need to be dated; unknowns remain visible. Conflicting sources are discussed rather than silently merged.

AI-assisted work remains my responsibility

AI may help organize material, draft text and compare information. It is not a source of project confirmation. I am responsible for reviewing published analysis and checking the evidence behind substantive claims. Any use of confidential client material with external tools is agreed with the client first.

Commercial relationships are disclosed

Commissioned public research and sponsorship are identified. Relevant supplier relationships or referral arrangements are disclosed before a recommendation is relied upon. Client information is not published without permission.

Read the work

The Insights archive contains articles on methanol, hydrogen, carbon utilization and industrial transition. Older articles reflect their stated publication dates; a historical project reference is not confirmation of a live sales opportunity.
